Panchakarma

 

The central fire, called jatharagni, governs the digestion and assimilation of food. When agni is robust and healthy, then whatever a person eats, the system digests, assimilates, and absorbs it, then eliminates the impurities. When agni becomes weakened or disturbed due to unhealthy lifestyle, poor diet, or negative emotions, food is not properly digested.


The undigested, unabsorbed food particles accumulate in the gastrointestinal track and other subtle sites in the body and turn into a toxic, sticky, foul-smelling substance called ama. When these molecules of ama clog the channels, the cellular intelligence (prana) which is constantly flowing between the cells gets blocked, and disease arises. The ama has to be eliminated from the body by cleansing and purification techniques (panchakarma).


Panchakarma (rejuvenation therapy) is designed to draw ama out the dhatus (body tissues), return it to the digestive tract and expel it from the body. The uniquess of panchakarma is that puts the atention on the patient, and recognizes and uses the specific qualities of the patients physiological make-up to heal. After panchakarma the person will feel lighter, younger, and with a clearness of mind.

 

   Program:

Day 1 Consultation: pulse, tongue diagnose, questionnaire, learn the monodiet recipe for panchakarma, specific program for your dosha. Arrived with empty stomach 2 hours after last meal.

Day 2 internal oleation ghee + medicinal plants for dosha body + start monodiet + herb tea.

Day 3 internal oleation ghee + medicinal plants for your dosha + monodie + herb tea.

Day 4 internal oleation ghee + medicinal plants for your dosha + monodiet + herb tea.

Day 5 external oleation: warm herbal oil with abyanga (massage) + swedana (herbal steam) + aromatherapy + monodie + herb tea.

Day 6 external oleation: warm herbal oil with abyanga (massage) + swedana (herbal steam) + aromatherapy + monodiet + herb tea.

Day 7 external oleation: warm herbal oil with abyanga (massage) + swedana (herbal steam) + aromatherapy + basti (herbal enema) + monodiet + herb tea.

Day 8 external oleation: warm herbal oil with abyanga (massage) + swedana (herbal steam) + aromatherapy + basti (herbal enema) + monodiet + herb tea.

Day 9 external oleation: warm herbal oil with abyanga (massage) + swedana (herbal steam) + aromatherapy + basti (herbal enema) + monodiet + herb tea.

Day 10 Nasaya (herbal oil nose application) + eye drops + ear candels or ear oleation, monodiet + steam vegetables + herb tea + barrida Maya (Maya white smoke purification).

Day 11 monodiet + steamed vegetables + herb tea. We don't meet this day (the last panchakarma day).


   Carry Out Plan:

Day 1 we meet in person, from day 2 to 4 we don't met, you will get full instructions on day 1 (during your consultation) about how to do it yourself. From day 5 to day 10 we meet again every day.

Day 11 monodiet + steamed vegetables + herb tea. We don't meet this day (the last panchakarma day).

The price for the monodiet is not included in the panchakarma. However, on the 1st day you get instructions how to cook this dish (kitchary), so you can prepare yourself.

From day 2 to day 9 you eat only the monodiet.

From day 10 to day 11 eat monodiet + steamed vegetables.

Price for the Panchakarma Basic 10500 kr (all inclusive).

Price for the Panchakarma Especial 12000 kr (all inclusive).

Price for the Panchakarma Deluxe 15000 kr (all inclusive).


   Important Things To Know During Panchakarma:

During the abyanga (warm herbal oil massage) is important that you wear comfortable underwear or bikini as it may be damage by the warm herbal oil.

It takes 10 hours work to make 1 litre herbal oil, during the pancakarma 1 litre herbal oil is use + ecologic aromatherapy.

When you are going to receive a massage oil (abyanga) is important that you take a shower before and that you don't apply any lotion or oil to your body, so your body is dry during the herbal oil massage your body absorbs as much as it can the herbal oil.

You should NOT do a panchakarma if you are pregnant or anemic (a consultation is need previous to panchakarma).

The panchakarma is a purification not only physical but mentally as well.

After panchakarma: get plenty of rest, eat carefully according to you dosha constitution (food guidelines), meditate and do yoga regularly.
